The Thief and The Donkey 

Funny English Story



 There was once a man who thought he was more shrewd than every other person. He used to taunt and ridicule others and consistently behaved like he was the sharpest man on the Earth. 


At some point, this man went to the market to purchase a donkey. At the market, he picked the best donkey and got it at that moment. He adored that donkey such a lot of that he didn't ride on its back when he returned home. All things being equal, he strolled and hauled the donkey behind him. 


Along the street behind certain hedges, two shrewd thieves were watching him when out of nowhere they chose to take the donkey. "You can't accept how moronic a few group are. Simply do as I say!" one thief said to the next as they drew nearer unobtrusively from behind. 


The two thieves snuck up behind the man and painstakingly slipped the rope off from around the donkey's neck. As one thief drove the donkey away, the other thief put the rope around his own neck and kept on strolling along behind the man. 


Several minutes, the donkey proprietor investigated his shoulder and acknowledged he was pulling a man rather than a donkey. He was astonished and inquired, "Where is my donkey?" To which the thief answered, "I'm heartbroken, Sir! I was your donkey!" "I don't trust you. How might a donkey change itself into a man?" asked the man. 


"All things considered, Sir, a few years prior, I hurt my mom and afterward I was reviled to be a donkey. I was taken to the commercial center and sold there by my uncle. Presently I've become a man again in light of the fact that the individual that got me is a shrewd and an astute man," the thief said. Hearing this, the man puffed up his chest feeling extremely pleased and said to the thief, "Presently, you return home and recall never hurt your mom again!" The thief expressed gratitude toward him and left. 


Afterward, the two thieves carried the donkey to exactly the same spot where he had been purchased and sold him. They really recounted the merchant the tale of how the donkey came to be in their ownership. Toward the finish of the story, they all enjoyed a hearty chuckle and expression of what happened immediately spread all through the town. 


The following day, the man went to the market to purchase another donkey. He began to take a gander at all the donkeys available to be purchased when he saw that his lost donkey was being sold among the other donkeys. The man acknowledged he had been deceived. In any case, to safeguard his appearance before the merchant, he chose to address the donkey. 


"All things considered, youngster," he said, "I allowed you an opportunity yet you didn't pay attention to my recommendation and presently, you have become a donkey once more. This time, I will not get you!" With that, the man left the commercial center looking somewhat glad for himself while each and every individual who realized the story snickered until they cried.
